Free Mouse Click Sound - Royalty Free!
Have you noticed the mouse click sound of every single advertisement since 1992 is the same?
Every dot-com commercial or website promotion on television uses the exact same mouse click audio track. It’s as if we were all still using Apple IIes with mice the size of our feet that weigh 14lbs a piece! Here’s a recent Ask.com TV ad as an example. You’ll hear what I mean at 0:12…
There’s only one click in there but you know the sound I’m talking about. Apparently, no matter how many millions of dollars you throw into an advertising campaign, you can’t buy a decent sound engineer these days…
Well, I’m tired of it. It’s the 21st century and when I use my forefinger to select something using that crazy, handheld interface device we call a “mouse”, it doesn’t take 240 lbs of pressure and it doesn’t sound like a door slamming underneath my hand. It’s time to bring the computer sound effects of marketing into the modern age.
So out of the kindness of my heart and the frustration of my ears, I am selflessly providing a high-quality audio sample for all TV and radio audio engineers to use in their advertising. This sound clip is completely royalty free! Anyone can use it in their million-dollar ad campaign and distribute it as much as they want, COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE.
“Why would you do this? Why are you being so generous with your audio genius?”
…you might ask.
Well, I simply think that it is time for a new standard in mouse click audio. The status quo of yesterday can no longer be accepted by the general public who, by all accounts, today actually use mice with 2 buttons! I am willing to sacrifice the hundreds of thousands of dollars I would naturally be owed in royalties for my incredible recording techniques in the name of improving the quality of advertising audio. Also, it’s for the children.
I expect to hear this on several hundred television ads within the next few months.
